Important ! This gear is only needed if you are refilling STARTER* cartridges for the Brother TN350, since the starter cartridges don't always have this reset gear installed. The printer displays a "toner life end" message if no reset gear is detected. A reset gear must be installed on any used TN350 starter cartridge in order for the printer to function properly once the cartridge has been refilled and re-installed in the printer.
* A starter cartridge is the cartridge that ships free with your printer. If you purchase the cartridge separatley, you will not require this gear.
Buy one Reset Gear per refill. (Only Needed For Starter Cartridges)
Our SK-208 Toner Refill Kit already includes the Reset Gear, however if you want to further increase your savings with our Bulk Toner "BT-208" you will need to purchase a reset gear for each bulk bottle of toner purchased.

 As with most Brother toner cartridges, The Brother TN-350 cartridges routinely leave as much as 20 grams of toner in the supply chamber, all the while showing toner out and refusing to print! Shaking the cartridge at this point will only get you another 20-25 pages before the printer shuts down again.
The remaining toner (20g or so!), MUST be completely removed from the supply chamber before adding new toner. Failure to do this will cause back grounding. In addition to contaminating the toner cartridge, this will also contaminate the cleaning section of the drum cartridge, which in turn will contaminate the toner cartridge again. Detailed toner refill instructions are provided with kit. |
